Project overview

DRCOG is leading the South Boulder Road Study in partnership with Boulder County, the cities of Boulder, Lafayette, Louisville, and the Regional Transportation District. The goal of this study is to develop a shared vision for the corridor by identifying current safety and mobility challenges on the corridor, and future opportunities to make the corridor more accessible for all road users. This study could help in planning for:

  • Improving safety for all users and reducing serious crashes.
  • Improving transit speed and reliability along the corridor.
  • Increasing connectivity for all users along and across the corridor.

This study is part of DRCOG's Corridor Planning Program. This corridor was selected because it was identified in the Northwest Area Mobility Study for enhanced transit in 2014 and is currently included in the 2050 Regional Transportation Plan.
